Sea Buckthorn Juice — Does It Actually Work or Is It Just Another Superfood Hype?
Sea Buckthorn Juice – The one thing I actually stuck with
I don’t usually write about health stuff. Mostly because half the things I’ve tried ended up being a waste of money and I’d rather not talk about it. But this one’s different and a few people asked so here we go.
Started taking sea buckthorn juice about six weeks back. Honestly didn’t expect much.
How it started
My cousin – she’s really into Ayurveda and naturopathy and all that -kept sending me reels about it. I ignored them for weeks. Then one day I had a bad cold that just would not go away and she dropped a bottle at my place and said just try it. So I did. What’s the worst that could happen right?
The taste is interesting. Tangy. A little sour. Kind of like if orange juice went to the gym. Not terrible but not something you’d crave on day one. I mixed it with water the first few times which helped.
What I noticed (and when)
First week – nothing. Genuinely nothing. I almost stopped.
Week two – my stomach felt calmer. I’d been dealing with this uncomfortable bloated thing after lunch for months and it just kind of gone now. Could’ve been a coincidence, I kept going anyway.
Week three onwards -okay this is the part that actually surprised me. My skin started looking better. Less dull. My sister asked if I’d changed my moisturiser. I hadn’t touched my skincare routine. Just the juice.
Energy is more even now. Not like a caffeine rush. Just steadier. The kind where you don’t hit a wall at 3pm.

Himalayan Sea Buckthorn Juice – rich in omega-7, vitamin C, and antioxidants that support gut health, skin hydration, and steady energy.
Why it actually works (the non-boring version)
Sea buckthorn berries come from the Himalayas -harsh climate, high altitude, the whole thing. That environment basically forces the plant to pack in as many nutrients as possible to survive. The result is something with over 190 nutrients including Vitamin C (a lot of it), antioxidants, and something most people haven’t heard of – omega 7.
You’ve probably heard of omega 3 and 6. Omega 7 is rarer and it’s specifically helpful for mucous membranes -think gut lining, skin hydration, dryness. That’s probably why the skin stuff happened for me.
Also the Vitamin C levels are genuinely high. Like comparable to citrus fruits but from a tiny berry. Great for immunity, collagen, all of that.
The practical stuff
15 to 30 ml in the morning before food. That’s it. I take about 20 ml straight and chase it with water. Takes 20 seconds.
Shake the bottle before every use -it separates.
Don’t expect magic in a week. It builds up. If you try it for 5 days and feel nothing, that’s normal, not a sign it’s not working.
Would I recommend it?
Yeah. Especially if you keep getting sick, your skin always looks tired, or your digestion’s been off for a while. It’s not going to fix everything but it’s a solid thing to add without overhauling your whole routine.
The one from Veda Health Life is 100% pure no added sugar, no preservatives, sourced from the Himalayan region. 500ml bottle, lasts a good while at this dosage. Priced at ₹799 which honestly isn’t bad for what you’re getting.
Just be patient with it. It took me almost three weeks to notice anything real. Worth it though.
